Description

Slimline Single Buffered Multiple

Precise signal distribution with one input, seven buffered outputs and LED indication – for 2HP Eurorack

One signal, many destinations – without unnecessary level loss, unstable control voltages or messy patch compromises: The Slimline Single Buffered Multiple is an ultra-compact Eurorack utility for every situation where an audio signal, control voltage or trigger needs to be distributed reliably to several modules.

Unlike a passive multiple, this module actively buffers the incoming signal. This means that the input signal is not simply split electrically across several jacks, but is passed on to the outputs in a stable way. Especially with sensitive control voltages – such as pitch CV, modulation sources or precise gates – this is a decisive advantage.

The module is therefore not a spectacular effect, but one of those small tools that makes a system noticeably more reliable, cleaner and easier to patch. Once it is in your rack, it quickly becomes a fixed part of almost every patch.

Why use a buffered multiple?

  • Stable distribution of control voltages, gates, triggers and audio signals
  • Seven buffered outputs for complex patches from a single source
  • Ideal for pitch CV, clock/trigger distribution, modulation and parallel signal paths

2HP compact – maximum distribution in minimum space

At only 2HP wide, the Slimline Single Buffered Multiple fits into very compact Eurorack systems, skiff cases and performance racks. Especially where every HP counts, a reliable signal distributor is particularly valuable: it significantly expands your patching options without taking up space that could be used for larger utility modules.

Whether you want to send one clock to several sequencers, route one envelope in parallel to a filter and VCA, or feed the same pitch CV to several oscillators at once – the module makes sure that a single signal reaches several destinations cleanly and clearly.

One input, seven outputs – clear layout, fast access

The Slimline Single Buffered Multiple has one input and seven outputs. This allows signals to be distributed to several destinations without detours. The design is intentionally direct: plug in the signal, connect the destinations and keep patching.

This simplicity is a major advantage in a modular system. In complex patches, not every module has to be in the foreground. Some modules make everything else work better. This is exactly where the Slimline Single Buffered Multiple belongs: it keeps your signal paths stable, understandable and flexible.

Buffered outputs – clean distribution instead of voltage drop

Passive multiples are useful, but depending on the patch and the connected inputs, they can cause voltage drops or unwanted interaction. With audio signals this is often uncritical, but with control voltages it can quickly become audible – for example when several oscillators no longer track together cleanly.

The buffered outputs of the Slimline Single Buffered Multiple help avoid these effects. The input signal is actively passed on, so the connected destinations are supplied more stably and more independently from one another. This is a clear advantage especially for pitch CV, precise modulation, clocks and gates.

LED indication for positive input signals

An integrated LED visually indicates positive input signals. This is especially useful for patching, testing and troubleshooting: you can immediately see whether a signal is present, whether a clock is running or whether a modulation source is active.

Especially in dense patches or darker live setups, this feedback is more than just a small convenience feature. It makes signal flows easier to understand and helps you narrow down sources of error directly at the module.

Typical applications

  • Pitch CV distribution: send one sequencer or keyboard CV to several oscillators
  • Clock and trigger distribution: distribute a central clock to sequencers, dividers, envelopes or sample & hold modules
  • Parallel modulation: send one LFO or envelope to several destinations at the same time
  • Audio splitting: route one audio signal in parallel to filters, effects or further processing stages
  • Patch diagnosis: use the LED to quickly see whether a positive signal is present at the input

Small utility, big difference

The Slimline Single Buffered Multiple is a compact, precise and versatile tool for any Eurorack system. It does not expand the sound through an obvious effect, but through better signal routing, more stable patches and greater freedom when distributing your most important sources.

With one input, seven buffered outputs, LED indication and a width of only 2HP, it is a classic always-on utility: unobtrusive, reliable and indispensable whenever a signal belongs not just in one place, but in many places across the patch.
